1. Structural Repairs & Normal Wear and Tear
Where repairs are related to structural items or normal wear and tear, clients may choose one of the following options:
Requity can arrange/payment for the repair and the cost will be added back to the final buyback price; or the client may choose to pay for the repair directly at the time of service.
Examples may include standard maintenance items or repairs resulting from normal use of the home over time.
2. Client-Induced Damage
Any damage determined to be client-induced or resulting from negligence, misuse, or accidental damage is the responsibility of the client and must be paid directly by the client. These costs will not be covered by Requity.
Examples may include broken fixtures, damaged flooring, appliance damage caused by misuse, wall damage beyond normal wear, etc.
3. Cosmetic Upgrades & Improvements
Any cosmetic upgrades, alterations, or improvements requested or completed by the client are entirely at the client’s own expense.
This may include items such as:
Please note these costs are not recoverable or reimbursable should the client later change their mind or choose not to proceed with the buyback.
Our goal is to provide flexibility while also ensuring the property is properly maintained and responsibilities are clearly understood by all parties.
