Who is responsible for maintenance and repairs?

Requity is responsible for major repairs that affect the safety or habitability of the home — such as significant roofing issues or HVAC failure.

Important: any major repair costs covered by Requity will be added to your future buyback price, since these improvements increase the value of the home. Alternatively, you can pay for major repairs in installments.

You are responsible for:

1. Minor and cosmetic repairs
2. Snow removal and lawn care
3. Any damage caused by intentional acts or negligence

You're welcome to make cosmetic upgrades to personalize your space — paint, fixtures, and similar changes are fine without needing to ask. For structural or significant changes, contact us first.
